Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving! This is usually such a happy time for most folks but it can also be such a sad time as we remember loved ones that are gone or we may feel all alone because our circumstances have changed. We want to offer you some hope and courage so stay tuned all the way to the end.

When we stop and count our blessings our mind tends to wander away from our stress and struggles. Here in America we are truly blessed with so much! We had missionary friends over and they were overwhelmed with how much food we eat each day. It was more than some of their whole villages had in a day. Yet our fridges are overflowing, many of us have full cupboards and food going bad that is just thrown away.

Here in America we have work available for those who are willing to, while other countries economies’ are collapsing and there is no work. People are having to sell their loved ones into slavery.

Here in America we have good doctors and hospitals in abundance.

Here in America we have safe houses and buildings built to withstand earthquakes. We have charities in abundance helping those in need.

Here in America we have the ability with technology to talk to others around the world.

We can always look and find someone worse off than ourselves. Does that mean our lives are perfect? No. That we don’t have any stress? No. Don’t have any health issues? No, Don’t experience loss and grief? No of course not. But what it does mean is we have hope. Hope that the next hour or day doesn’t have to stay the same because we are blessed with so much opportunity.

We have opportunity to make different choices, opportunity to do different work, opportunity for education, opportunity to earn money, opportunity to start businesses, opportunity to help others, opportunity to be kind, opportunity to show love, opportunity to show gratitude and thankfulness, opportunity to extend peace and grace to someone else who may need that hope to make it 1 more hour.

We at American Made Home Solutions want to continue to instill hope into those we come in contact with. Many times we are told our offers are too good to be true, why would you help us, strangers? This is why! We want to be thankful for our many blessings all year long and instill an attitude of gratitude and hope in America again, not just on Thanksgiving, but all year long. You’ll see our list of some of the things we are thankful for this year:

Numerous renovations finished and sold, Kurt coming to work full time for the company, many new team members added, personal health issues healed, our youngest child graduated from high school and has a good job thanks to his hard work earning A+ certifications among many others in high school, our daughter living and enjoying life and health in Hawaii, our short term rental side of the business launched, our multi family side of the business growing, personal growth for both of us and in our marriage. The list could go on and on.

What are you thankful for? Write them down, post them somewhere, here or in the comments below. I was raised by a single mother who worked herself to the bone to take care of us kids, but consequently we didn’t have much. I remember at times being thankful for peanut butter to have instead of mayonnaise on bread for a meal, or being given a stuffed garfield toy for my only new toy that year and our orange cat had died so my grandparents thought it would be helpful, which is was. I remember being thankful I had my brother’s hand me downs to wear, not because they fit but because my old clothes didn’t. I know how bad hard times can hurt and feel like they never get better.

But just like Tony Robbins tells us, if we let our emotions rule we ever get anything and we slowly die, but when we choose in our mind to be thankful, grateful, and purposeful it’s then that we experience life and life more abundantly.

May we challenge you? Will you choose with us to be more thankful, grateful, and purposeful this holiday season and moving forward. So that this time next year we can look back on this and see how much fuller lives we have led and the year that we were given has meaning and purpose.

We hope you’ll choose yes and move forward with us into more abundant lives. Happy Thanksgiving!!
